In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Black Over Zinc Chromate by Alan Green. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,049.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Green have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Vertical Reds in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,874.53).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Over Zinc Chromate von Alan Green zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 7.049,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Green auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Vertical Reds im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.874,53).
