Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Albert Bierstadt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January last year. In the 19th Century American Art auction, the work Lake Lucerne sold for USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,892.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Bierstadt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indians Spear Fishing in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 7,321,000.00 (€ 4,705,012.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Bierstadt erzielte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century American Art wurde die Arbeit Lake Lucerne für USD 75.000,00 (€ 66.892,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Bierstadt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indians Spear Fishing im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.321.000,00 (€ 4.705.012,85).
