This artwork by Albert Guillaume achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May this year. In the Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve auction, the work Un moment volé sold for USD 16,380.00 (€ 15,374.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albert Guillaume; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Café De Paris sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of USD 32,760.00 (€ 28,127.41).
