Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION, which included the work Man, Woman And Parrot by Albert Tucker. The price achieved of AUD 4,780.00 (€ 2,821.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian intruder And Parrots in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 456,000.00 (€ 266,189.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man, Woman And Parrot von Albert Tucker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.780,00 (€ 2.821,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Tucker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian intruder And Parrots im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 456.000,00 (€ 266.189,11).
