Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vers La Banquise, Spitzberg by Albert Sebille was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2014. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,030.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Sebille - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Normandie, at Midnight on the Atlantic, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,213.02).
