Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composizione by Alberto Burri was auctioned at Christies in Milan in November 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 13,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Burri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sacco E Rosso in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 9,109,000.00 (€ 11,672,058.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composizione von Alberto Burri im November 2020 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 13.750,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Burri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sacco E Rosso im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.109.000,00 (€ 11.672.058,70).
