Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Alejandro Obregón was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in July 2021. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,955.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alejandro Obregón achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bodegón in May last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alejandro Obregón wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.955,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bodegón im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66).
