Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 501.90 (€ 722.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex de Andreis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arrival of D'Artagnan in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 5,377.50 (€ 7,727.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of A Dashing Cavalier Holding A Musket von Alex de Andreis kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 501,90 (€ 722,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex de Andreis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arrival of D'Artagnan im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.377,50 (€ 7.727,76).
