Abstract sculptures dancing in space
»As a sculptor, space is his dimension in which he acts, wood his material of expression. His sculptures seem to be abstract and yet have a high relation to reality, as they always sound out the dimensionality of space and move in the tension between lightness and gravity. They deal with the limits of physics and the infinity of mind and emotion. As part of the Prinzipal Klub Festival, the exhibition Mathias Kadolph: Form and Space opens at the Ostendorff Gallery in Münster on May 15. The artist is showing wooden sculptures and bronze sculptures as well as drawings and collages.

The lively, dynamic and concentrated formal language of sculptor Mathias Kadolph has so far manifested itself primarily through his material, wood. Now, for the first time, he has had miniatures cast in bronze in an edition of twelve sculptures each. These convey essential impressions of his formal ideas and open up to new impulses for our perception.

Im Rahmen des Prinzipal Klub Festival eröffnet am 15. Mai die Ausstellung Mathias Kadolph: Form und Raum in der Galerie Ostendorff in Münster. Der Künstler zeigt sowohl Holzskulpturen und Bronzeplastiken als auch Zeichnungen und Collagen.

Die lebendig-dynamische und konzentrierte Formensprache des Bildhauers Mathias Kadolph manifestierte sich bislang vorrangig über sein Material, das Holz. Nun ließ er erstmals Miniaturen in Bronze gießen in einer Edition von je zwölf Skulpturen. Diese vermitteln essentielle Eindrücke seiner Formideen, öffnen sich facettenreich für neue Impulse unserer Wahrnehmung.
