Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hocus-Pocus by Alexander Sitnikov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,809.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander Sitnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Temptation in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 30,500.00 (€ 42,707.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hocus-Pocus von Alexander Sitnikov kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.809,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Sitnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Temptation im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.500,00 (€ 42.707,89).
