In February 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Paintings, Furniture & Decorative Objects, which included the work Autoportrait Présumé De L'Artiste by Alexandre-Jean-Baptiste Hesse. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 867.00 24% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Jean-Baptiste Hesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Junge Italienerin. in March 2012 with an auction result of CHF 43,200.00 (€ 35,894.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings, Furniture & Decorative Objects durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autoportrait Présumé De L'Artiste von Alexandre-Jean-Baptiste Hesse zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 867,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Jean-Baptiste Hesse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Junge Italienerin. im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 43.200,00 (€ 35.894,17).
