In the Russian Pictures auction, the work The Volga Near Yurevets changed hands for GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,783,634.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,400,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, The Volga Near Yurevets is the most expensive artwork by Alexei Kondratievich Savrasov that we have observed at auction so far.
