In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Windsor Castle From The Thames by Alfred de Bréanski. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,140.89), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred de Bréanski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lochnagar in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,785.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windsor Castle From The Thames von Alfred de Bréanski zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.140,89) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred de Bréanski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lochnagar im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.785,49).
