Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Portrait of a seated Girl in a white Dress by Alfred John Billinghurst. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 745.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Alfred John Billinghurst have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2004 the work St Pauls From The River Thames With One Steam Boat was auctioned for GBP 657.25 (€ 945.96).
