Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,104.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Bastien achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Le Maharaja Et Ses Elephants A La Procession Du Festival De Dussehra A Mysore in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 39,234.49).
