Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Allan Douglas Davidson could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Lost in thought changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 635.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Douglas Davidson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36).
