Auction result well in line with expectations

In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction A Living Legacy: Irish Art from the Collection of Brian P. Burns, which included the work Porte De La Caserne, Tangier by Aloysius O'Kelly. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,639.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aloysius O'Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Load Of Turf, Connemara in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion A Living Legacy: Irish Art from the Collection of Brian P. Burns durch, in der auch die Arbeit Porte De La Caserne, Tangier von Aloysius O'Kelly zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.639,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aloysius O'Kelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Load Of Turf, Connemara im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69).
