Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Amar Nath Sehgal was sold in the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,482.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amar Nath Sehgal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nari in March last year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 249,887.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Amar Nath Sehgal wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.482,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amar Nath Sehgal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nari im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 249.887,32).
