The work Still Life Of Tulips, Wild Roses, Cyclamen, Yellow Ranunculus, Forget-Me-Not And Other Flowers, In A Glass Beaker by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 1,088,750.00 (€ 1,272,925.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blumenstrauss mit Tulpen, Schwertlilie, Gartennelke, Ringelblume, Rosmarinblätter und anderen Blüten in einem Römer mit Schmetterlingen, Spitzschnecke und Fliege. 1608., which sold at auction in September 2008 for CHF 5,770,000.00 (€ 3,662,132.66).
