Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Sothebys in London held the auction The Now Evening Auction, which included the work As the Crow Flies by Amoako Boafo. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350,000 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 352,800 (€ 418,284). Admittedly, works by Amoako Boafo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hands Up in December last year with an auction result of HKD 26,650,000 (€ 3,018,669).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit As the Crow Flies von Amoako Boafo kam im März diesen Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350.000 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 352.800 (€ 418.284) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amoako Boafo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hands Up im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 26.650.000 (€ 3.018.669).
