The work Nerida 1 by Amoako Boafo was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 163,800.00 (€ 186,354.14), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amoako Boafo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hands Up in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 26,650,000.00 (€ 3,018,669.38).

Die Arbeit Nerida 1 von Amoako Boafo wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 186.354,14) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amoako Boafo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hands Up im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 26.650.000,00 (€ 3.018.669,38).
