In the UN AUTRE XXE SIECLE: LES ARTS DE LA FIGURATION 1900-1950 auction, the work La place publique sold for EUR 5,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by André Devambez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vol Durant La "Quinzaine D'Octobre"; Port-Aviation, 14 Octobre 1909 in December 2010 with an auction result of EUR 35,236.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von André Devambez erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion UN AUTRE XXE SIECLE: LES ARTS DE LA FIGURATION 1900-1950 wurde die Arbeit La place publique für EUR 5.875,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Devambez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vol Durant La "Quinzaine D'Octobre"; Port-Aviation, 14 Octobre 1909 im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.236,00.
