Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Daedalus and Icarus by Andrea Sacchi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 173,250.00 (€ 261,818.88). Other works by Andrea Sacchi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2019 by the work An Allegory Of Rome at GBP 447,000.00 (€ 490,776.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Daedalus and Icarus von Andrea Sacchi im Juli 2004 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 173.250,00 (€ 261.818,88) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Andrea Sacchi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2019 die Arbeit An Allegory Of Rome mit GBP 447.000,00 (€ 490.776,28).
