Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pandora'S Box by Andrei Belichenko was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,416.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrei Belichenko - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Silk And Seduction, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,951.80).

Die Arbeit Pandora'S Box von Andrei Belichenko wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.416,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrei Belichenko mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Silk And Seduction beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.951,80) versteigert wurde.
