Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Growing Impatience of the High Rise Lovers (from the Mad Lovers Series) by Andrew Sibley was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The price achieved of AUD 11,750.00 (€ 6,821.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Sibley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Musicians in Love - Mad Lovers Series, which sold at auction in May 2001 for AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,494.71).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 11.750,00 (€ 6.821,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
