In the Christie's Interiors - Masters & Makers, Oak Furniture, Works of Art, Arts & Crafts and Old Master Paintings auction, the work Portrait of Lord Fitzroy James Henry Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan (1788-1855), half-length, in military uniform, a plumed hat under his left arm sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,111.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Andrew Morton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Philip Sidney, 1st Lord de L'Isle and Lady de L'Isle sold at auction in January 2005 with the realized price of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,507.01).
