The »bidding war« ended at USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85), 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).
