Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Andy and Annie Lennox, 1981-1986 by Andy Warhol was sold in the Andy Warhol at Christie's Sold to Benefit the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts auction at Christies in New York in November 2012. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,245.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Andy and Annie Lennox, 1981-1986 von Andy Warhol wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Andy Warhol at Christie's Sold to Benefit the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.245,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden.
