This work of art by Ansel Adams could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the A Grand Vision: The David H. Arrington Collection of Ansel Adams Masterworks auction, the work 'Texture Detail, Old Barn' changed hands for USD 11,340.00 (€ 9,272.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
