Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Lady, Three Quarter Length, In A Ruff With Matching Lace Cap And Cuffs by Anthonie Blocklandt for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,810.11). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthonie Blocklandt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Adoration of the Magi, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 57,600.00 (€ 42,166.91).
