Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter landscape with elegant figures playing kolf and skating on a frozen river by Anthonie Verstraelen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 119,700.00 (€ 142,943.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthonie Verstraelen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River Beside A Village, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 481,250.00 (€ 552,306.37).

Die Arbeit Winter landscape with elegant figures playing kolf and skating on a frozen river von Anthonie Verstraelen kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 119.700,00 (€ 142.943,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthonie Verstraelen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating On A Frozen River Beside A Village beobachtet, die im Juli 2011 für GBP 481.250,00 (€ 552.306,37) versteigert wurde.
