This artwork by Anthony Dattilo Rubbo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year. In the The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online auction, the work (Landscape) sold for AUD 2,460.00 (€ 1,499.38) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Dattilo Rubbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cargo Wharf, which sold at auction in August 2004 for AUD 7,170.00 (€ 4,161.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony Dattilo Rubbo erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online wurde die Arbeit (Landscape) für AUD 2.460,00 (€ 1.499,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Dattilo Rubbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cargo Wharf beobachtet, die im August 2004 für AUD 7.170,00 (€ 4.161,46) versteigert wurde.
