Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Two Masted Schooner by Antonio Jacobsen was sold in the Important Americana auction at Christies in New York in January this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,962.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Jacobsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Racing Schooners in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 224,500.00 (€ 166,926.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Two Masted Schooner von Antonio Jacobsen wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Important Americana bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.962,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Jacobsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Racing Schooners im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 224.500,00 (€ 166.926,91).
