Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,665.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Jacobsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Racing Schooners in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 224,500.00 (€ 166,926.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sandy Hook von Antonio Jacobsen kam im Januar 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.665,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Jacobsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Racing Schooners im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 224.500,00 (€ 166.926,91).
