Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Guyandotte by Antonio Jacobsen for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,962.61). This price was achieved in the auction Important Americana at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Jacobsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Racing Schooners in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 224,500.00 (€ 166,926.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Guyandotte von Antonio Jacobsen für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.962,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Americana bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Jacobsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Racing Schooners im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 224.500,00 (€ 166.926,91).
