Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sin título by Antonio Suárez was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 573.82). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Suárez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eva No.3, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,410.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sin título von Antonio Suárez im Juli 2011 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 500,00 (€ 573,82) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Suárez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eva No.3 beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.410,36) versteigert wurde.
