Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Nude in Front of a Gramophone by Armando Morales. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,187.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Armando Morales achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cuatro Bañistas En Canal De Plantación in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 982,000.00 (€ 929,748.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude in Front of a Gramophone von Armando Morales zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.187,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Armando Morales erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cuatro Bañistas En Canal De Plantación im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 982.000,00 (€ 929.748,15).
