This work of art by Arthur Charles Dodd could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work A tankard with grapes, plums, an apple, a melon and hazlenuts changed hands for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,499.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Charles Dodd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In full cry and; The end of a good run in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 9,996.02).
