Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Friends at play; and A close shave by Arthur Heyer. It changed hands for a price of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,563.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Heyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A family of cats at play in February 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,363.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Friends at play; and A close shave von Arthur Heyer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.563,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Heyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A family of cats at play im Februar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.363,78).
