Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Fruit of the vine (illustrated); and Gooseberries by Augusta Innes Withers. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 906.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augusta Innes Withers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orchidaceae: Cattleya Mossiae in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,670.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fruit of the vine (illustrated); and Gooseberries von Augusta Innes Withers zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 906,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augusta Innes Withers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orchidaceae: Cattleya Mossiae im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.670,85).
