Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Selected Silver, and, which included the work A conversation piece with elegant figures and dogs in an interior beside a piano by Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart. The price achieved of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,145.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Album Of Silhouettes Of ‘Irish Characters' in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 40,992.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Selected Silver, and durch, in der auch die Arbeit A conversation piece with elegant figures and dogs in an interior beside a piano von Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.145,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Album Of Silhouettes Of ‘Irish Characters' im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 40.992,72).
