Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Icons, Russian and, which included the work Unknown by Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 334.60 (€ 473.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Album Of Silhouettes Of ‘Irish Characters' in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 40,992.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Icons, Russian and durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 334,60 (€ 473,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Album Of Silhouettes Of ‘Irish Characters' im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 40.992,72).
