In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Camels and riders collecting water sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,772.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Augustus Osborne Lamplough have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Arab On A Camel Surveying The Desert At Dusk in January 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,477.30).
