In the Travel & Exploration auction, the work The Valley of the Kings, The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Upper Egypt sold for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,175.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustus Osborne Lamplough - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Arab On A Camel Surveying The Desert At Dusk, which sold at auction in January 2015 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,477.30).
