Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 703.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustus Walford Weedon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Dutch coast, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,693.16).
