The result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,598.15) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 160,000.00. Admittedly, works by Auke Sonnega have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ceremony at the Temple in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 65,014.59).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Dua Gadis (Two Girls) von Auke Sonnega kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.598,15) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 160.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auke Sonnega auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ceremony at the Temple im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 65.014,59).
