In June 2001 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Mare E Costa Di Sicilia by Aurelio Catti. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,125.00 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Aurelio Catti; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Autunno A Palermo sold at auction in June 2005 with the realized price of EUR 7,440.00.

Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mare E Costa Di Sicilia von Aurelio Catti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.125,00 und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Aurelio Catti; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Autunno A Palermo im Juni 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 7.440,00.
