Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Saint John the Baptist; and Saint John the Evangelist by Bartolo di Fredi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 299,645.21). Other works by Bartolo di Fredi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2015 by the work Saint Anthony Abbot at GBP 287,000.00 (€ 394,117.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Saint John the Baptist; and Saint John the Evangelist von Bartolo di Fredi im Juli 2003 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 229.250,00 (€ 299.645,21) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Bartolo di Fredi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2015 die Arbeit Saint Anthony Abbot mit GBP 287.000,00 (€ 394.117,18).
