In February 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work View of the Hoofdtoren, Hoorn by Bernardus Viegers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,629.00 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernardus Viegers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The flower seller, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,962.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the Hoofdtoren, Hoorn von Bernardus Viegers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.629,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernardus Viegers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The flower seller beobachtet, die im Juli 2005 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 6.962,35) versteigert wurde.
