This artwork by Bernardus Viegers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. In the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Cows in the snow sold for EUR 2,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernardus Viegers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The flower seller, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,962.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernardus Viegers erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Cows in the snow für EUR 2.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernardus Viegers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The flower seller beobachtet, die im Juli 2005 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 6.962,35) versteigert wurde.
